Until recently Christine was secretary of the board of the Womens Dentists Worldwide section of the International Dental Federation. She organised the section meetings in Shenzen and Dubai.
Closer to home, Christine set up, and continues to manage the Guildford Dental Study Group which meets monthly at The Royal Surrey County Hospital. She is also Regional Dental Tutor for Surrey and West Sussex.
The Fellowship in General Dental Practice is seen as the educational assessment allowing general dental practitioners to demonstrate achievement of the highest standard of education and knowledge. Christine was one of the first dentists in the UK to achieve this herself, and is now a member of the board of assessors. She has recently been a tutor for the Diploma in Restorative Dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons of England and is the MJDF examination tutor for the local division of the Faculty of General Practitioners. She was also recently on the editorial board of Dental Health, the journal of the British Society of Dental Hygienist and Therapies.
Christine was President of the Southern Counties Branch of the British Dental Association in 2014.
Until April 2019 she was employed as an educational advisor for Kent, Surrey and Sussex Deanery. Her role originally was to support dentists returning from a career break but also now works with dentists from overseas to help produce educational plans to further their training. She also was dental tutor for Surrey and West Sussex.
As well as helping other dentists to identify their own educational needs, Christine continues to enhance her own training with regular attendance courses in the UK and abroad relevant to improving her own skills and techniques.
